We are a community-led organisation empowering young people to be heard, valued, and supported. Through mentoring, advocacy, and partnership work, we stand alongside youth, families, and communities to address the root causes of harm and create lasting change.
What We Do
Mentoring & Advocacy: 1:1 and group mentoring to guide young people through challenges and help them thrive.
Contextual Harm Support: Addressing the environments, relationships, and situations where young people may be at risk.
Community Engagement: Youth clubs, workshops, training, and partnerships that bring people together for positive change.
Collaborations: We proudly work alongside Be Heard As One and other partners to strengthen community networks and amplify collective impact.

About the Founder
Shenell Brown, born and raised in Hackney, East London is the founder and Director of Voices United for Change Consultancy, a Community Interest Company formed from lived experience, deep empathy, and a fierce commitment to social justice. With over a decade of experience as a qualified social worker, including roles as a frontline practitioner and team manager, Shenell brings a wealth of expertise in contextual safeguarding, youth advocacy, systemic and trauma-informed care.

Her career has been dedicated to protecting vulnerable young people and families affected by abuse, poverty, exploitation, violence, and systemic harm. Shenell has led multidisciplinary teams, shaped safeguarding strategies, and delivered frontline interventions across London and beyond. In April 2025, she completed the Train the Trainer in Safeguarding, equipping her to deliver high-quality safeguarding training to professionals and community groups.

Her journey into founding Voices United for Change was deeply personal, driven by a desire to transform pain into purpose and create safe, empowering spaces for young people. The CIC now delivers mentoring, advocacy, and creative engagement programs that challenge injustice and promote growth.

Voices United for Change works in collaboration with Be Heard As One Charity, a partner organisation that shares a mission to elevate unheard voices and build bridges between communities and systems. Together, they’ve co-led youth-led forums, and supported families navigating complex challenges.
Her leadership is grounded in authenticity, collaboration, and a relentless belief in the power of transformation. Shenell continues to inspire change-makers, funders, and young leaders across London.
